Francesca Roley
8th/9th Gr ELA
Francesca M. Roley currently teaches 8th and 9th grade English at Pennfield Middle School. Previously, she taught middle school English, middle school History, high school English, and SAT Prep at schools in Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs since graduating from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education's Master's of Science in Education program in 2012. She attended undergraduate studies at American University before that, where she obtained two Bachelor's of Arts degrees in History and Literature in 2010. Francesca views her teaching role as a facilitator not only of her students’ acquisition of reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary skills, but also of their augmented voice, learning connected to their ample funds of knowledge, and clearly delineated next steps on the bright path to their futures.
